Hello! Welcome to Hopemaking!

In the thick of homemaking its easy to loose sight of purpose and hope. My desire is that I, through the Lord’s help, can encourage you on your journey of homemaking.

Hey, I’m glad you’re here!

Homemaking might not be the most popular subject nowadays. Though, there is a rising number of women desiring to be that stay at home mom, who cooks from scratch, grows a garden, and fills her home with lovely things.

Aside from the pretty aesthetic instagram pictures and romanticized version, homemaking is hard. Its a never ending cycle of cooking, cleaning, wiping poopy toddler butts, and all manner of other dirty work. It’s rewarding and draining all in the same breath. It’s a work God almighty has called us to. Its a privilege and honor. But some days it feels like you just don’t have the strength or energy to do another day of it.

It’s not hopeless! I’m in the trenches of motherhood with a toddler and a baby who keep me hopping. The older and wizened ladies always say it goes by so quickly. I believe them but it doesn’t change how challenging each day can be. It’s hard to dream about the future if you feel so STUCK in the here and now. But God gives us purpose in it. He gives us strength. He gives us strength. He gives us HOPE.

I want to be a channel of the hope He has given me. And with that desire I have decided to start this blog. I am in no way perfect or have achieved a level of homemaking above anyone. I rely daily on physical, emotional, and spiritual support by my friends, family, and church community. I want to encourage the ladies who are also working so hard to raise a family up right. We can’t check every box on our list of the ba-gillion things we have to do but with the help of encouragement, suggestions, and tips we can truly get a lot done with hope in our step. That’s what I want this blog to be.

I pray that through the power of Christ Jesus lives will be touched and homemakers encouraged!

Praise the Lord
